It was a matter of great honour for the mumineen of Mumbai when Mazoon Saheb (DM) accepted their invitation to come for the Wa'az of Arba'een-e-Imaam Husain (AS) in Mumbai. A session of interaction was kept where mumineen (especially the youth) were given an opportunity to ask the questions to Saheb-e-Da'wat. This session was held at the Masjid-e-Badri at Worli on 19th Safar 1427/ 19th March 2006 Sunday. The session continued for about 90 minutes and was concluded by the verses in the praise of Imaam Husain (AS). Arrangement of lunch was done for all the mumineen.
In this session, Mazoon Saheb focussed on the foundation and pillars of Isma'ili-Taiyebi aqeedah; how our principles are different from the other sects. He proved the truth of the succession of Imaamat and Da'wat by emphasizing and describing the minutest details of the history. Mumineen were left spellbound by the speech. To be more precise he explained the whole hierarchy of Imaamat from Imaam Hasan (AS) to Imaam Taiyeb (AS) and how Maulana Qaa'im ul-Qayaamah (AS), from his progeny, will reveal himself upon the world and will illuminate the light of truth from the depths of darkness and ignorance of this world.
Mazoon Saheb added that the 99 names of Allah; in reality, according to the Isma'ili-Taiyebi tenets; does not personify Allah Himself but these are the names given to the Aql-e-Awwal (the first intellect). Elucidating the importance of figure 99, he said that it connotes the number of Imaams. After the 98th Imaam from the progeny of Imaam Husain (AS), Qaa'im (AS) who is 99th Imaam will reveal himself on the Day of Judgement. Qayaamat will not come until the Imaamat in this Daur-e-Satr has reached till 98th Imaam (AS) in the progeny of Imaam Husain (AS).
Purporting the truth of our faith Mazoon Saheb (DM) described the names of all Imaams in succession from Imaam Hasan (AS). He clarified that we are called Isma'ilis because we believe in the Nass of Imaam Ja'far as-Saadiq (AS) on his son Imaam Isma'il (AS) who died while Imaam Saadiq (AS) was alive. After the death of Imaam Isma'il (AS) the Nass stepped forward to his son Imaam Mohammad bin Isma'il (AS). Since Imaam Mohammad was very young and his life was in jeopardy, Imaam Ja'far as-Saadiq (AS) appointed Moosa Kaazim as the Satr or hijaab of Imaam Mohammad (AS).
Mazoon Saheb admonished and cautioned the mumineen to protect and keep themselves away from the other influences which has increased manifolds these days. He encouraged mumineen to know the fundamentals and basics of our aqeedah before peeping in the tenets of other sects.
Majlis assembled in the hall on the night of Arba'een where Mazoon Saheb showered the gems in the praise of Imaam Husain (AS) and the hardships which the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) went through in Karbala from 7th of Moharram to the day of ‘Aashura. He portrayed the whole manzar of shahaadat of Imaam Husain (AS) in Karbala . He depicted how Imaam Husain (AS) is named as Shaheed-e-A'zam. He said, ‘Imaam Hasan (AS) was martyred by poison, Maulana ‘Ali (AS) was martyred by poisoned sword in Namaaz, Maulatana Fatema az-Zahra (AS) was martyred by the 2nd caliph, but O mumineen, Imaam Husain (AS) was martyred in Karbala while he was hungry and thirsty, and even after his death he did not get kafan and ghusl.
Mazoon Saheb compared Imaam Husain (AS) and his Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS); the safeenah (ark, ship) of najaat (salvation, redemption) with the ship of Hazrat Nooh (AS). When Nooh (AS) revealed the Da'wat of Allah on his people he was reciprocated with rejection and condemnation. In spite of all odds, he continued to call the people for the cause of Allah. When the things became unbearable, Nooh (AS) was very disappointed and complained to Allah about the misdeeds of his ummat. Then Allah instructed him to make a ship and take all his faithful followers in the ship. Then Allah flooded the whole land. Everything except the ship of Nooh (AS) sank and got destroyed. Imaam Husain (AS) and Ahl-u-Bayt (AS) were like a ship of salvation for the believers in Karbala. On the other side were the infidels, hypocrites and unbelievers who turned their deaf ears to the call of Allah. The Shahaadat (martyrdom) of Imaam Husain (AS) and the sacrifices of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) for the ummat-e-Islaam sailed through the floods of untruth and disbelief. The Martyrdom of Imaam Husain (AS) spread through the world as the light of truth and faith and will guide the mumineen in darkness of ignorance till the end of this world.
Mazoon Saheb said that Allah Ta'aala has distributed the hardships into ten parts and out of these ten parts; he has descended nine parts in the month of Safar-ul-Muzaffar. Remaining one part has been distributed for the other eleven months. Quoting the words of wisdom he exclaimed that, there are three things which never come back once it has gone. These are time, youth and words. Utilize the time for gaining the knowledge so that it can save you from the fire of Hell. Don't waste your youth, use your resources in doing good deeds. Serve for the community. Youth is the peak of your life when you can achieve anything you desire. The progress of the community lies in its youth. Have control over your tongue; the double edged sword, it can make you win all the luxuries of the world and the same can throw you in the vortex of losses. Think before you speak because an uttered word never comes back.
Mazoon Saheb recited the marsiya of Arba'een and mumineen shed the tears as a tribute to Imaam Husain (AS). He said that O mumineen, these tears will get you the rewards of the precious gems in the life Hereafter. Mazoon Saheb prayed with the waseelah of Imaam Husain (AS) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), for the long life and health of Saiyedna Saheb (TUS). He prayed to Allah for the guidance of the right path and noor to the mumineen. He also prayed for the progress of jamaa'at and the betterment of mumineen. After the majlis all the mumineen got the privilege of qadambosi. The majlis was concluded by the arrangement of ta'aam and ikraam for mumineen.
